The Museum of Islamic Art was designed by world-renowned architect I M Pei. The marvellous building was made to stand out from others by placing it on an islet with no other buildings. Hence, the complex looks as though it is floating on the surface of the water off the corniche. Go there to be awed by the amazing displays. Showcased there are pieces of jewellery, Islamic designs, calligraphy, a collection of textiles from across three continents, and a marvellous range of artefacts from the 7th to the 19th centuries.
