Lamington National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is renowned for its beauty. It sprawls over the Plateau of Lamington and spreads over 51,000 acres of land. Over 180 species live here and among them are endangered species as well The Park is 30 kilometres away from the Pacific Ocean and 3000 feet above sea level. It is composed of two sections, Binna Burra and the Green Mountains. Green Mountain is toward the Western Lamington plateau. It is also known as O'Reilly and is a significant natural attraction. Binna Burra is a mountain resort, situated in the National Park.
It is the original Ecolodge to be built in Australia. The Park is a popular spot for bird watching and hiking trails. Apart from this, bushwalking, camping, and picnics can be had as well. Other activities include mountain biking, cycling, horse riding and rock climbing.
