Must Experience Thrilling Rides in Sydney's Luna Park – The ups, the downs and the adrenaline

Theme parks are, for the most part, places where people's dreams come true. They get to see their favourite ride or nostalgic reminder of their past in the games that are available to be enjoyed. However, for those thrill seekers, the best part of these parks are the rides!

1

Jump on the big dipper

This stunning ride is likely to be a crowd favourite and may just be your favourite as well if you have the stomach for it. With a top speed of 72 kilometres per hour, a total of two-speed boosters as well as a 360-degree horizontal and vertical spin, this ride is not one to be trifled with.
It is considered a big kid only ride with a height requirement of needing to be 132cm or taller to get on. This seems fairly understandable when you consider that this ride is Australia's tallest and fastest multi-launch roller coaster.
If you are staying at a Sydney City Hyde Park hotel such as the Oaks Sydney Hyde Park Suites, you will just be a ten-minute drive away from this fantastic experience, but you have been warned!

2

How about the Sledgehammer?

Suppose it is not already apparent by the name alone. In that case, this ride will require a certain amount of gusto before you can step forward to participate. Given its nature, the minimum height requirement is once again set at 132cm.
This ride is not one for the faint of heart. You will be required to hold on tight to your seating as you are propelled 30 meters into the sky and then spun a full 360 degrees in a bi-directional manner. Of course, this is all a fancy way of saying, hold on for your dear life and please try not to throw up.
If there is any consolation, you will get brief moments where you may be able to enjoy the view of the sea and the Sydney harbour. If you are under the 132cm requirement, you may also still experience this ride by opting in for the half swing setting of this ride. However, once you are locked in, the screams of the people around you and the G force will not be easy to shake off.

3

Enter the Wild Mouse

This is probably one of Australia's most favoured rollercoasters. The best part is if you are between the heights of 106 cm to 131cm, you can enjoy this ride as long as you are accompanied by an adult.

4

Riding the Boomerang

The name says it all, prepare yourself and your family to go through the twists and turns of the Boomerang, Australia's first G-force G- rated ride that is fine for kids and adults. But it will really make little difference as everyone will just be screaming the whole time regardless.

5

The Nostalgic Volare

There is something quite charming about the Volare. It might be its old school aesthetic, but this ride is Australia's largest wave swinger ride and perfect for those travelling with kids. With a relatively gentle speed of 17 km/hr and 3424 LED lights, it is a dazzling way to bring the day to a close.
