You can find dozens of credit counseling and credit repair companies when you do an Internet search for credit help in Idaho. However, as of 2021, there are only four physical locations in Idaho where credit counseling agencies can meet with you in person.
A nonprofit credit counseling agency can help you get out of debt by negotiating lower interest rates and better repayment terms with your current creditors. They work with credit card companies, collection agencies, banks and credit unions, medical debts, and even old utility and cell phone bills. Many also offer HUD-approved housing counseling/education, student loan counseling, and bankruptcy certificate services.
Be sure to work with a credit counseling agency that belongs to either FCAA.org or NFCC.org
