Looking to travel to China once the world settles down post-pandemic? China is a country with a lot of culture, history and amazing experiences to offer. Here are a few spots you must not miss out on!

The Great Wall of China

No trip to China is complete without a trip to the Great Wall, in fact it is one of the most awe-inspiring symbols in the whole of China, if not the whole world. This iconic ancient defensive architecture is truly symbolic of China's long history and is said to span over 20,000 kilometres. The most integrated and well preserved sections are said to be close to Beijing, Tread through the centuries-old bricks and ruins and feel the history come to life!

Giant Pandas

Panda's are known as China's National Treasure and is deeply loved by Chinese and foreigners alike. There are many zoos around China, however, the best place to see pandas is in Chengdu, also known as the giant panda's hometown. The three best places to see these cute animals is at the Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Centre, Dujiangyan Panda Valley and Bifengxia Panda Base. Don't forget your camera!

Ningbo Museum

During your stay at Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Ningbo or any of the other Ningbo apartments in China, do not forget to drop by at the Ningbo Museum. This fascinating building was designed by Wang Shu, the first Chinese citizen to clinch the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2012. The museum showcases 60,000 exhibits dating back to 3300 BC. You will also get to see gold, silver, bronze and ceramic wares, bamboo carvings, jade artefacts, calligraphy and paintings.

The Potala Palace

A symbol of Tibet, the Potala Palace was declared a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in 1994. It is a treasure house of materials and articles from Tibetan history, religion, art and culture. The palace is impressive even from the outside and is a great learning opportunity to get to know the regal heritage of Tibet, listen to the stories of the Dalai Lamas who lived in the palace. However, Tibet does not accept independent travelers and you need to travel with a travel agency.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountains

Located in Lijiang, this snow mountain is sacred in the hearts of Naxi people. You'll find glaciers, waterfalls, canyons and much more along with the snowy summits which make up some of the most stunning sceneries. This area is a popular hiking destination and from March to May, the slopes are covered in azalea flowers! This one is ideal for the hiking enthusiasts but remember to be properly equipped before you go on this adventure.

The Terracotta Army

The Terracotta army has laid underground for over 2000 years, and in 1974 the farmers uncovered this great archaeological site. In 1987, it became a World Cultural Heritage. The hundreds of life sized models represent the army that triumphed all other Chinese armies and played the important role of uniting China.
