I offer you this, as a reminder: You are not alone.
Something we all have experience with, as parents, as professionals, as adults and even earlier for some of us, is " pushing through." Finding the determination, the reserve of strength, the faith to keep moving forward when the part of you that just wants to stop, possibly even needs to stop, is all you hear inside your own head.

The mountain is you. The great climb, is our own acknowledgement of who and what we are, what we are willing to give, learn and do, to summit the great mountain of our own thoughts.
Today's motivation is that strong knot at the end of your rope, there, just as you are ready let go of the dream, the goal you have been working towards.
Recognition and praise. Two incredibly precious gifts to give, but also, two valuable motivators and inspiration to receive. Recognition is appreciation or acclaim for a service or achievement.
The courage it takes to Stay the Path and the courage it takes to follow one's calling when it seems the whole world conspires and stands against you, can weaken your resolve at times.

We all know that when the feeling is on us, nothing can stop the forward momentum. But what do you do when you plateau? When it feels like you are just spinning your wheels and you really want to feel like you are moving forward, what do you do?

Stepping out of your comfort zone. Walk your talk. Be careful what you wish for. Walk your talk. When one door closes, another opens. Walking the talk... These and a few others are what the whispers I can hear in the background in the silence of the early Alaska morning.
Some days, we all have to search for the motivation to Stay the Path. When those days hit us, it is good to remember your why, your reason, your plan. It helps especially if your day starts out with conversations about Rams and plans.
When we come to the moment, as we all do, that our lives have become GO!GO!GO!GO!GO!GO!, and it continues for what seems like beyond time. That moment, when the evil lizard that lives inside each of us, whispering hopelessness and dream destroying drivel to us when we are tired, stressed or operating at overdrive for too long.
So much time is spent in frustration, worry and hopelessness. So much more time is spent pondering, searching and asking for the reasons why. The reasons we do what we do, the reasons we each feel what we are feeling, thinking what we are thinking. Monday Motivation: The Six Reasons Why has those answers.
You've been working towards your goal for a long time. You have made sacrifices, studied and worked hard. Be Fearless! Fear is an emotion induced by a perceived threat, which causes entities to quickly pull far away from it and usually hide. When I first entertained the idea of having a one-word theme for an entire year to base not only my own actions, writing, teaching, learning and thoughts on ~ I can admit, I thought it would be much easier than it was.
Following our One Word focus for 2014, Fearless! Today's Monday Motivation focuses on the first letter of " Be Fearless!" B as in Be Bold and Brave! It isn't always as easy or cut-and-dried as simply deciding to be bold or brave, but both are needed to become Fearless.
