Diving takes you to ocean depths and allows you to see the most elusive marine creatures. This aquatic sport gives you the chance to explore the hidden layers of the ocean in the company of tropical fish.

5

Fishing

Another water-related activity you can do in Kalutara; fishing is the most satisfying thing you can do here. You'll be joined by a group of other enthusiasts and accompanied by an experienced guide. Even if you don't catch any fish, the effort is worth your time.

Windsurfing

One of the best sports on offer, windsurfing is the most exhilarating activity you can try in Sri Lanka. You'll be strapped to the surfboard and propelled forward by the force of the wind.

Dolphin and whale watching

The island offers you the chance to glimpse killer whales, sperm whales, blue whales, whale sharks, dolphins, and manta rays. The best time for the activity is from December to March. While aboard the boat with your group, expect a light swell as the ocean can be rough sometimes.
