Elma's is a classic, and they seem to have a permanent place in the hearts of the city’s folk. Perhaps because they pioneered the red velvet movement in the city. We, however, love their Victorian Sponge. Their breakfast menu, comprising freshly-baked croissants, eggs, and the choice of buying freshly baked oatmeal, wheat germ, daliya, and multi-grain bread, also deserves a special mention.
When we think we want brownies, we immediately think of Theobroma. They do assorted brownie boxes that are perfect for gifting but they also have whole cakes available which we've liked but maybe not as much as the brownies. We recommend the Dutch Truffle Cake if you're ordering a cake, and the Brownie if you want just one.
