Explore the Nine Arch Bridge

This 24-metre high bridge is indeed an architectural marvel that you'd love to explore during your time spent in Ella. The colonial structure of the bridge surrounded by the jungles offers the perfect picturesque sights for those who want to click the insta-worthy shots. Since this is still an active train track, if you go there at the right time, you will also be able to see the train pass by.

Hike up the Little Adam's Peak

Hiking up Adam's Peak means a daunting experience, and not everyone will like it. But, Little Adam's Peak in Ella is so much easier, and anyone could just try it out. On either side of the path you take, you will see a lot of well-maintained tea plantations. The sight of these greenery may soothe your eyes and calm your senses. Pass each of them and reach the peak and explore the small statue of Lord Buddha at the top.

Hike up the Ella Rock

Every Ella travel guide the likes of Ella Sri Lanka recommends having a hike up the Ella Rock, because this experience is so charming and mind-blowing. What you'll love the most is the view you get to enjoy once you reach the peak, and you'll surely want to capture every bit of it on your camera. Unlike the Little Adam's Peak, this hike can be a little challenging - but it's surely worth it!

Visit the Diyaluma Falls

It is one of the highest waterfalls in Sri Lanka, and indeed one of the most beautiful. Diyaluma consists of several series of natural pools in which travellers can enjoy relaxing swims.

Watch out from Lipton Seat

Have you heard about the famous international tea brand, Lipton Tea? The owner of this tea brand is Thomas Lipton and this place is named after him as a token of tribute. When he came to Sri Lanka in the late 1800s, he bought a bungalow that sat 2000 metres above sea level particularly to view all his plantations and how things were being done. What you see as the Lipton Seat today is where his bungalow was back then.

Once you finish exploring this place, you may also head to the Dambatenne Tea Factory, which is located just 7 kilometres away from the Lipton Seat.

Explore Ella Wala Falls

Travellers are so busy chasing after the popular waterfalls and mountains in Ella, that they sometimes forget that there's real beauty in hidden treasures. Ella Wala Falls is also such an underrated hidden treasure, which is an ideal spot for you to have a relaxing swim. The waterfall is not that high, but the natural swimming hole below offers shallow and cold waters. This waterfall is located around 25 kilometres away from Ella town.
