This ancient concept of a market has existed since ancient times in the Middle East and has been famed for the Arabian spices, perfumes, lavish carpets and gold and other jewellery. This building includes 5-storeys of archaic artefacts that go as far back as the 7th century and lead up to the 19th century. Despite the name "village", upon entering you will see that the place is quite exquisite with well-defined architecture and spotless walls and floors. Beyond the exterior walls are a number of event venues and art galleries. There is even a theatre and a film centre to inspire the youngsters to dive into the filmmaking industry as well. Exhibitions are also held here.

It is the perfect venue for a relaxing stroll to simply enjoy the warm sea breeze and the vistas of Doha's skyline! You can also people-watch here and observe how the locals go about their walks. Food stalls and cafes are also available to grab a small bite if necessary.
