There are two different situations associated with U052 kind of error message.One is the point where the print head isn't installed at all and it is giving the'U052 This kind of print head is incorrect' error message.
And, the second situation is where the print head is installed nut it isn't functioning properly or likely not working at all. The below section will reveal step by step troubleshooting of the situations.
1.Open the top lid of the printer in order to get into the printer's cartridges and the print head. When you open the top lid, the cartridges slot will automatically lift up to the middle front of the printer.
If there aren't any cartridges or print head in the printer, then the positioning of the cartridge slots will obviously be in the center front of the printer with the lever lifted up.
Install the print head in to the sliding rail just beside the capsules slot.
Close the top lid of the printer.
Reinsert the print head and the ink cartridges into the printer and make certain there aren't any open doorways and the lever is back in position.
Take out a test print in order to check if the canon Error U052 is solved.
