Those “Oh!” moments

Hello there, who am I? How about the question- Who are you?
You see, I think if you dig deep enough, you’ll find that we are similar in many ways. Do you want to succeed in life? Do you want the best for you and your family? Do you want to take back control of your finances and important data? Do you want the recognition that you deserve for who you are and what you do?!
So many questions and aspirations.
Well, the great news is, the answers are just a mindset tweek away.
Hi, my name is Paul Williams and I am proud to say that I am a Micropreneur! I come from an extensive background in education where I have fulfilled a variety of teaching roles over the past 19 years. I absolutely love helping children grow both educationally and holistically as individuals. There aren’t many things better than experiencing the sheer joy on a child’s face when they shout with joy, “Ohhhhh!” Then you know they have achieved a level of understanding not previously experienced. The sense of achievement in those ‘Oh!’ moments is absolutely priceless and a joy to behold! 😊
Well, I’ve reached quite a few ‘Oh!’ moments myself in recent years. And the latest “Oh!” moment (an awakening if you like) came, when I realized I was ‘living a life or dormancy’. Even though I loved teaching children, the sheer weight of endless and needless paperwork was grinding me down. My job had become more of a burden, where I was having to attend meetings that were so dull, a glass eye would be comatose if in attendance.
Teaching and learning was to my mind, evolving into what I call, ‘Product line education’ where all talents and skill sets of teachers were being ignored and ultimately shelved and in place a system approach to teaching and learning was pushed to the detriment of everything else that makes learning for children ‘fun!’
Well, this started to sap my spirit and worse still, enjoyment of teaching. I knew something had to change and so, my first ‘Oh’ moment came when I decided enough was enough and started down the road of opening my own education centre. I could then put in place the kind of ethos and approach to learning that I have always felt passionate about. Two years later and I am pleased to say that I have a thriving education centre that has the type of learning environment where children not only thrive in their learning but enjoy attending each and every week. You see, for me it’s a very simple equation for success; happy child = eager learner!
Then came my next ‘Oh!’ moment. Yes I am an entrepreneur running an education centre but I also like the thought of being a Micropreneur. Why? Remember earlier I said that you and I are not all that different? In answer to the rhetorical questions above, I want more control over my life, I want my data protected from the ‘farmers’ of big corporations (why should they make money from my identity? It’s my asset so I should be paid for what is mine and not have it ‘mined from me’ in a sly snatch and grab kinda way), I have so much to offer (as do you) that I want the world to experience what makes me, well, me! Finally, you bet I want the best for my family and being a micropreneur helps me to achieve all these hugely important aspirations. Yes I have my education centre and I love it but one of the many advantages of being a micropreneur is that you can be one anywhere in the world. All you need is your laptop. So the possibilities are endless!

So I have joined CrowdPoint and I am proud to say that yes, I am now also a micropreneur and super excited to be on this journey.
