Bali is a beautiful and spiritual destination for many travellers and is a great destination to travel with children. This tranquil island has stretches of lush paddy fields, breath-taking coral beaches, and temples to explore and engage in a variety of experiences.

Visit Pura Tanha Lot

It is one of Bali's most sacred Hindu temples, it is located around 20 km northwest of Kuta and is built on a rocky atoll surrounding spectacular sea views. Although foreigners are not allowed inside the temples, you can walk across the main temple during low tide to witness the many shrines.

Monkey Forest

Found in Ubud it is just a ten-minute walk from the town. You can find many troupes of long-tailed grey macaques living in a jungle setting resembling their original environment. The paved trails will lead you through a dense forest, filled with large banyan trees and ancient statues of monkeys. Kids who love animals will adore this place!

Seminyak

This popular beach town in Bali is known for its long clean sandy beaches and a great place for shopping. You will find many genuine Balinese design boutiques dotted on its streets, along with many Bali Family Resort properties.

It is a group of three lovely islands located 20 km offshore from Sanur. The kids will love the beaches here. You can revel in diving, water sports or lounge amidst the crystal-clear beaches. Tirta Empul Temple

Dated to 960 AD the temple is found in the middle of lush tropical forests of Bali and a national cultural heritage site. The temple is split into three courtyards and a pool, where most of the religious rituals are held. Foreigner visitors can partake in the rituals with locals allowing it is duly performed as per local custom.

Rice field in Bali

Lush acres of paddy fields are a common sight in Bali. Tegallalang and Jatiluwih are famous for their rice terraces. A 30-minute ride from Ubud will take you to witness this gorgeous spectacle.

This is a water theme park found in the Kuta region. This theme park has many fun water slides and has rave reviews from tourists. Let the kids have a ball in Bali!

This lovely stretch of coastline is famous for tourists and the perfect spot for kids to try their hand at surfing. Surfing lessons and gear can be easily booked and rented from beachside vendors. A 90-minute ride northeast of Ubud will bring you to this enchanting valley of small villages built among rice terraces. There are retreats such as yoga, meditation and activities such as rafting and hiking around this area as well.

Located 99 km from Ubud, Sekumpul waterfall is considered to be the most beautiful waterfall in Bali and is a collection of seven waterfalls. Go on an adventurous hiking trail to the waterfall and cool off in its pristine waters.
