The pristine beaches are amongst the main attractions in Quy Nhon and staying at a resort by a private stretch of shore makes an ideal choice. You can also make time to visit one of the region's most picturesque coastal sites known as Ky Co Beach; it can be reached by boat from Nhon Ly village which adds to the adventure and once there, you can enjoy soft sands and azure waters set amidst a backdrop of cliffs. This beach which features small coves and rock pools is the perfect spot to soak up the sun and enjoy relaxing swims.
Quy Nhon is home to ancient Cham towers that date to the 11th and 12th centuries including the Thap Doi Towers which are only around 2 km from the city centre. Constructed with red bricks, these towering structures can be found amidst a small park and are popular amongst Instagrammers too. Also of note are the Banh It Towers, approximately 15 km from the city; easily accessible on excursions offered by properties like Anantara Quy Nhon Villas, this site features several towers with distinctive architectural styles including the Sanctuary Tower which is nearly 30 metres in height.
Those looking for more adventures can plan a visit to Hon Kho Island which makes for a memorable outing. Some Quy Nhon-based luxury resorts in Vietnam provide excursions to this island which makes it easy to visit. To reach Hon Kho, you will have to take a boat from the Nhon Hai fishing village; once at your destination, you can look forward to lazing on idyllic white sands and swimming in the ocean. The waters surrounding the island are also home to pristine reefs and various marine life making it an excellent spot for snorkelling too.
If you are travelling with children, then plan a visit to FLC Zoo Safari Park Quy Nhon where plenty of animal encounters await. The range of wildlife is truly diverse and covers different areas around the world as well; you will be able to spot white lions, crocodiles, monkeys, elephants, Indochinese tigers, bears, turtles and more. There's also an array of birdlife at this zoo including Indochinese peacocks, African ostriches and purple swamphens. When hunger strikes, there are restaurants and fast food outlets to satisfy those cravings.
For some nightlife experiences, you can visit the Quy Nhon Night Market, an ideal place to soak up the local culture, shop for bargains and savour Vietnamese cuisine. This lively market can be found in the city and is open from 6:00pm to around 11:00pm. You will find stalls selling all manner of items here be it souvenirs, watches, clothes, handicrafts, shoes or sunglasses. Not to be missed is a chance to sample some of the foodie delights on offer including a delectable array of seafood dishes.
