Made with a host of nutritious ingredients, Margoog is a staple dish in Qatari cuisine. It is usually prepared with vegetables such as eggplants, tomatoes, zucchini, potatoes and a choice of meat such as beef or lamb that is tenderized. A variety of spices and fragrant ingredients are also added to enhance the broth - when the liquid comes to a boil, thinly kneaded and sliced pieces of raw dough is added to soak up the delicious flavours.
