Hong Kong has a number of hiking and trekking trails for all outdoor enthusiasts, no matter how experienced one may be. If you're just getting into hiking and are looking for easier hikes, the following list is for you.

1

Victoria Peak Circle Walk

With less than 100m of an incline and just three kilometres in distance, the Victoria Peak Circle Walk is considered one of the easiest hikes in Hong Kong. You catch a tram up to the peak and complete a circular loop around the edge of the peak, meaning that you skip the ascent but you're still gifted with pretty amazing views during the hike. The hike takes around an hour to complete and is extremely popular!

2

Jardine's Lookout Hike

This hiking trail is rather short but leads you to one of the best viewpoints in the whole of Hong Kong! If you're someone that enjoys quiet time and privacy, the Jardine's Lookout hike is ideal because it isn't that well known and you could be one of the few people there on a particular day! The hike is also dog and family-friendly, weaving through trees. Be there at the endpoint right in time for sunset to take in the beauty that is the Hong Kong sky during a sunset!

3

Rhino Rock Trail

Less than a kilometre long each way, this hiking trail is true to its name as it boasts some of the most incredible rock formations! You're also gifted with stunning views of the coast during this trail which makes is it a great mini-adventure to consider. Less than 30 minutes away from Dorsett Wan Chai Hong Kong or any other Wan Chai hotel you're staying at – this hiking trail is definitely the easiest one there is. The best part, it can be done in under an hour so you have plenty of time to do other things afterwards!

4

Dragons Back Hike

One of the more popular hikes in Hong Kong, the Dragon Backs Hike is one of the less intense ones in the region. In comparison to the routes already mentioned, this hiking trail is much longer – almost 6 kilometres in length with an incline of a couple of hundred meters. After Victoria Peak, this may be the next most popular hiking trails in Hong Kong due to the scenic views and how easy the hike is. This hiking adventure is also appropriate for families, amateur hikers and those who just want to go on an adventure!

5

Devil's Peak Hike

If you want a hiking trail that is unique, and rather strange from the others, Devil's Peak is ideal! You'll pass a huge cemetery and several fortification ruins before you get to the top. Despite the creepy atmosphere, you're gifted with lovely views of Kowloon on your right and Central on your left! This hike is quite easy and is a great place to watch the sunset from. However, if you only have a few days in Hong Kong, opt for a more popular hike with better views!
