I really was surprised by the different approaches to challenge #123. Some of you just started drawing and came up with lines that eventually became new patterns. Others searched for inspirations to create new patterns. All these efforts resulted in beautiful drawings. Almost everyone struggled with the problem where to begin and what to draw.
This weeks Diva challenge is to place "Auras" around your tangle. Draw the tangle and then place the aura around it. A simple line...but it makes a big difference in the way the tangle plays on the tile. As always my challenge is done in a 4 x 6 drawing journal.
In pencil, make some overlapping shapes. Find the intersections of the overlaps, and make a short double line at each pencil intersection. Always make your second line either inside or outside of the shapes. These are made on the inside of each shape. Don't think too hard about what will overlap what.

What does a quilter give as Holiday gifts??... custom-made quilts of course. This year I designed a quilt for each of my 4 children, 3 stepchildren, their spouses, 13 grandchildren, 2 sisters and a husband (that's 28 total). Thanks goodness we celebrated Christmas in Texas the Saturday before Christmas.
Lost Dog: 3 legs, blind in one eye, missing right ear, tail broken, recently castrated, answers to the name of "Lucky" It's an old joke, but it always makes me think of my Dad. If he were a dog, this would describe him pretty well.
Guess what?! I finally finished one of the Diva's challenges in time to post it! Shocking I know, as it has been a long time. I've been checking in every week, and I've even started some, but I've either not finished them or not finished in time.
