Quy Nhon is a coastal city located in the Binh Dinh Province in central Vietnam. Composed of 16 wards and five communes, the commercial activities in the city focuses on agriculture and fishing. Here's some fun activities you can do there as a tourist.

Champa's Twin Towers

Built in the late 12th century, this tower is a famed tourist destination boasting two towers lying next to each other along the North-South axis, the architecture of the towers are unique and impressive, and teaches everyone about the civilization of the ancient Champa kingdom. The Cham people ruled this region for more than 500 years between the 11th and 15th centuries, and left behind many of these towers. At present, there are still 14 well preserved towers – each with the same features of Cham architecture.

Banh It Cham Temple

This tower is located in Phuoc Hieu commune, Tuy Phuoc, Binh Dinh. 42 minutes from Avani Quy Nhon Resort, visiting this temple is one of the most important things to do in Quy Nhon. The four towers have an intimate connection with one another and the main tower is actually 22 metres high, surrounded by smaller sub towers and has distinct architecture! Remember to take your camera with you as this is a majestic sight to remember.

Quang Trung Museum

Built on the site of the Tay Son brothers' house, the displays inside of the museum include a range of statues, costumes, documents, artefacts and much more from the 18th century. Binh Dinh was originally a land associated with the name of King Quang Trung, so visiting this museum will give you more insight on the province and its history.

Long Khanh Pagoda

Known as one of the most prominent places for sightseeing, there is a large Buddha statue here and rises up to 17 metres high and places right in the middle of the temple courtyard. This is one of the largest Buddhist centres of Binh Dinh and is where the visitors come to worship. The temple was rebuilt in 1956 and completed in 1972. The style of architecture is Southern Chinese.

Eo Gio

This is a new tourist area that is rather attractive, however, is located 20 kilometres from Quy Nhon city. The name originates from the geographic shape, because as you look down from above you are likely to see the straight surrounded by mountains like blocks and embracing a beautiful beach.

Ky Co Beach

If you're looking for a beach break, this scenic spot is more than ideal! This spot is not known by everyone and the beach is quiet and shallow, so visitors can enjoy a peaceful swim and sip. You will be surrounded by majestic mountains, which makes this location even more serene.

Yen Island

Looking like something out a movie, this is where you will see wonderful nature together with natural caves that were created thousands of years ago. On this island, there's over 30 large and small caves, such as Doi cave, Can cave and Ba Nghe cave.
