The pools created as a result of the Falls are ideal to splash about for hours on end as both small and large pools make up this natural attraction. The surrounding grass banks can also be looked at should you want to enjoy a picnic with loved ones whilst surrounded by the peace and quiet of thriving jungle habitat.
If you're the type of traveller who seeks out sights and sounds and is more a fan of the journey than the destination itself, then taking on the trail leading to Wappa Falls would fit in perfectly. Found 5 minutes from Yandina, Wappa Falls is in fact made up of rock pools and formations which are nourished by the waters of the South Maroochy River that culminate within a small gorge. As a word of advice, you will need your best pair of hiking boots as the environs tend to be slippery.
