Technology Resources for Teachers and Educators

Here are some great technology tools that I have found very helpful for elementary education. I think these have been the top ten most useful tools I have found for educators! Let me know what you think, hopefully this helps!

Storybird aims to promote writing and reading skills in students through storytelling. In this tool, teachers can create interactive and artistic books online through a simple and easy to use interface. The stories created can be embedded in blogs, sent by email, and printed, among other options. In Storybird, teachers can also create projects with students, give constant feedback, and organize classes and grades.

Animoto is a cloud-based video creation service that produces video from photos, video clips, and music into video slideshows, and customized web-based presentations.

Make learning awesome together! Kahoot! for schools is our new offering that helps teachers collaborate, save time and create more engaging games. This is a great tool to use in the classroom to make sure kids are actively understanding the material.

TED-Ed celebrates the ideas of teachers and students around the world. Discover hundreds of animated lessons, create customized lessons, and share your big ideas. TED Conferences LLC is an American media organization that posts talks online for free distribution under the slogan "ideas worth spreading"

ClassDojo

ClassDojo

ClassDojo is a tool to improve student behavior: teachers provide their students with instant feedback so that good disposition in class is 'rewarded' with points and students have a more receptive attitude towards the learning process. ClassDojo provides real-time notifications to students, like 'Well Done David!' and '+1', for working collaboratively. The information that is collected about student behavior can be shared later with parents and administrators through the web.

Prezi

Prezi is a great tool to use for creative presentation creations. You can make lessons with prezi or assign lessons for students to interact with Prezi. There are many features that expand the standard PowerPoint making into videos and even narration.

Canva

This is my go to app for any and all graphic designing. This is great for creating graphics like classroom posters and infographics. This is a very user friendly way to get all of your colorful ideas done from making fun projects to creating worksheets for assignments. A great app!

Quick Rubric is a fast and easy way to get those last minute rubrics done! This website makes it super easy to fill in and create whatever rubric you need for an assignment. This is a great go to for educators alike.
