Must Discover 5 Attractions in The Entrance - Discover this unique town on the Central Coast

Positioned on the Central Coast of New South Wales, the Entrance is a district and town encircled by water on three sides. Many attractions await such as pelican feeding, beachside pools and parks await those who visit this charming and tranquil town.

1

Spend time at the Memorial Park

For families with young children, a day at Memorial Park will certainly make everyone happy. There are two parks and Vera's Water Garden, which is a kid's sure favourite and will keep them entertained for hours to come. During weekends and summer vacations the park becomes even more interesting with additions such as rollercoaster rides, a carousel, a jumping castle and even a little train.

2

Feeding the pelicans

The Entrance is the best place to see pelicans up close and one of the biggest attractions in the town. The designated feeding time is 3.30 pm but it may start half an hour early. So, it is important to go there early by 3.00 pm to secure a good spot as it can get packed. The pelicans will arrive one by one like clockwork exactly at 3.00 pm and calmly wait to be fed. The volunteers that carry out the feeding will tell interesting facts about the birds and how and why this routine came to be.

The Baths

The Entrance Baths are placed in a spectacular setting just near the sea. Unwind in the pools while savouring the sea breezes and the sound of the waves. The main bath is a 50 m Olympic pool, there is also a smaller pool and one for toddlers. The area is well provided with all facilities such as dressing rooms, toilets, corners to sit, read or just relax, and a lifeguard station from September to April.

Multiple snapshots and posters lined along with the pathway recount the history of the area. Kids are permitted to ride bicycles along the route.
