Royal Opera House is one of Oman Sultanate's most-prized treasures. This magnificent masterpiece is the first of its kind in the region and it serves as a beautiful landmark as well. At the time of its construction, it was called 'House of Musical Arts', which was later replaced by 'Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM)'. It holds the capacity to accommodate a maximum of 1,100 people. Its unique Omani architecture increases its allure, making the Royal Opera House a famous sightseeing attraction for tourists from afar.

Explore the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque

Now, this is a modern Islamic architectural masterpiece that one simply must visit in Muscat. It is located approximately 19.7 kilometres away from Al Falaj Hotel via Route 1. Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is rather famous for its massive carpet, which is hailed as the second-largest Persian carpet in the world; this intricately-woven carpet has taken around 4 years to complete. The mosque also boasts one of the world's largest and striking chandeliers – it can be found in the centre of the men's prayer hall and measures a staggering 14 metres in its height. Nestled in the heart of Muscat, the National Museum of Oman is the most recent addition to the cultural scene of this country. It opened its doors to the public in July 2016. Its modern façade contrasts with age-old cultural treasures held inside – from Oman's maritime history and splendours of Islam to currency, arms and armour, this museum houses 14 fixed display halls that educated the visitors on the proud heritage of Oman.

Al Alam Palace is one of the six sultanic residences of the monarch and it is hailed as one of the most beautiful places in the world – with its rich architecture and blue, gold, and white façade, it appears extremely picturesque, making it a perfect backdrop for the ultimate Instagram picture! With a long history of over 200 years, it serves as one of the residential palaces of the present-day Sultan.
