Royal Botanic Gardens

Having opened its gates to the public as early as 1846, the Royal Botanic Gardens is no ordinary horticultural attraction on the banks of the Yarra River. Home to a whopping 8500 plant species, the Ian Potter Foundation Children's Garden is part of the 38 hectares dedicated to this extensive garden.

Federation Square

Built to commemorate a century of federation, this iconic landmark was opened back in 2002 and is now an integral part of the capital of Victoria. Hosting more than two thousand events each year, the decidedly modern Federation Square has become the venue of choice for many outdoor exhibitions, concerts and performances. The Ian Potter Centre is also found here.

National Gallery of Victoria

Having the honour of being the oldest public art gallery in the country, the National Gallery of Victoria houses a whopping 70,000 works of art. With its collection on display in two locations, the international collection is found at the building down St. Kilda which went under extensive renovations in 2003 although it was opened in the late 1960's.
