6 historic venues to impress every delegate

Now we know we can expect events in the UK before the end of the year, now is the time to start planning! We don't know about you, but we want our first event to be one to impress everyone - as it'll probably be most guests' first event in well over a year.

So, here are some of our top picks for settings that are bound to impress.

1

Plaisterers' Hall

Plaisterers' Hall

This is a great first choice - it's grand interiors simply speak for themselves. It's largest space, The Great Hall, can hold a massive 550 people ensuring there's plenty to create a buzzing atmosphere.

The enormous crystal chandeliers are an obvious selling point - even with 550 guests, everyone will have a clear view of them. The ornate detailing and high ceilings really do round off that regal feeling and make this historic event venue to one watch.

2

Central Hall Westminster

Central Hall Westminster

Central Hall Westminster has to be one of the most iconic venues, if not in Westminster, then in London. It's well known for it's TV and sometimes film appearances as it hosts the BBC's New Year's Eve concert every year, as well as one-off's like The Late Late Show with James Corden.

It (normally) hosts many of the country's most publicised conferences too, recently including the March4Women event and the One Young World Summit. If you're looking to kick-off with a formal event, this has to be one of the best conference centres London has to offer.

3

10-11 Carlton House Terrace

10-11 Carlton House Terrace

Not far from Buckingham Palace lies 10-11 Carlton House Terrace. This venue has a surprising and varied history, but all of it has shaped it to be the stunning setting it is today.

This Grade I listed townhouse is home to the British Academy and has been a popular choice for high-profile and exclusive events for decades, after becoming a members club back in the 1920s. Today, it's becoming one of the most popular small wedding venues London has to offer.

4

BMA House

BMA House

It's hard to argue with this one. BMA House is the home of the British Medical Association and their grand headquarters are certainly something to shout about.

With a romantic Bloomsbury location, it's no surprise couple love this wedding venue in Kings Cross. It's also popular as an outdoor summer party venue and on top of that, is also a sustainable venue hire choice.

5

Nicolson Square Edinburgh

Nicolson Square Edinburgh

You may not be surprised to learn that Nicolson Square Edinburgh is part of the same family of venues as Central Hall Westminster.

This one is a bit further afield, based in Edinburgh as you might guess. It's incredible interiors are not something to miss. As a recently converted church the space combines cozy and modern in the best way making it bound to impress guests from the moment they arrive. Whilst this location is current focused on developing it's offering as a conference and meeting venue in Edinburgh - watch this space. We can imagine plenty of other ways to delight delegates here!

6

RSA House

RSA House

RSA House is uniquely historical, as not only does it have a selection of impressive and traditional spaces, it also offers a large underground 'Vault' space - ideal for trendy parties with an exclusive guest list.

The space's here, whilst they have their own classic charm and character, are great blank canvases, allowing organisers to play up or down on those historic features to perfect suit their event. Plus a great location with easy transport links makes it a no brainer, whether your hosting a formal conference or all-out party.
