Perfect travel tips for your next tour to the Maldives – Before you explore a paradise…

With ample opportunities to dive and snorkel, while also enjoying the best of luxury at the island resorts, the Maldives indeed makes a great holiday destination for your next tour. If what you need now is a perfect guide, here is what you've been looking for. Read on!

1

The right season for your travel

No matter what time of the year it is, the Maldives is ready to welcome you with all its treasures! From December to April is considered the peak season when everything, including the travel and accommodation costs, goes up. From May to October is the monsoon in the Maldives which is also a great time to plan your tour, although you may face rainy spells here and there.

2

Getting to the Maldives and getting around

The rule of peak and off-peak season applies to the air travel cost too. During the high season, air tickets (regardless of which airline you opt for) will be priced high. If you want to save money, make sure you book your air tickets in advance without keeping it to the last minute. You'll be able to enjoy benefits (sometimes) when booking them in advance. Getting around in the Maldives is also not at all cheap. You can either travel around by seaplanes (an expensive option, but faster!), by ferries, or speed boats.

3

Accommodation facilities

It's a fact that the best of all hotels and resorts are in the Maldives, the No.01 tourist destination in the world. You may consider staying at a beach resort in Maldives the likes of Embudu Village throughout your holiday and enjoy the best of all luxury. Yes, the country may have thousands of islands, but it's always better to stay on one island without staying on multiple islands during your holiday (especially, when you are on a short holiday).

4

The must-grab experiences

In addition to enjoying seafood dining and spa treatments exclusively offered to you by your resort, there are many other experiences that you can say yes to during your days in the Maldives. Go fishing with the locals on a traditional boat, and explore a local island to know more about the different lifestyles of the Maldivians. Snorkel and dive to explore the most vibrant underwater world of the Maldives, and engage in other water adventures like surfing, parasailing, and kayaking.

5

Staying safe when you are there

However, keep an eye on your belongings when you are traveling in Male (the capital island). Do understand that it's a Muslim country, and the rules there can sometimes be strict. Respect their beliefs and dress modestly when visiting public attractions, and refrain from consuming pork and alcohol.

6

Other important tips

When you are packing for your tour include sunscreen for sure. Bring a scarf and whatever the medication if you think you'll get allergic to any type of seafood.
