Listly by Alexander Zane
List of the most successful Forex traders ever. Some of them you might have heard of before, and some you’ve probably never heard of.
Bill Lipschultz
Lipschultz managed to turn a 12,000 USD inheritance into 250,000 USD via the stock market before finishing his degree. Due to some overexposure to high-risk investments, he lost his capital. He switched to forex in 1982 and generated 300 million USD p/an in three years of working for Salomon Brothers. He currently leads the Portfolio Management unit of Hathersage Capital Management, a company he founded in 1995 and focused on G10 currencies.
Paul Tudor Jones
Jones went to the University of Virginia and graduated with a degree in Economics in 1976. After turning down Harvard Business School, he kept working as a commodities trader in the NYSE.
In 1980, he founded his hedge fund, Tudor Investment Corporation, an asset management firm headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut. The billionaire is also a philanthropist, and he founded the Robin Hood Foundation, which focuses on poverty reduction. Jones mainly bet on fluctuations in interest rates and the Forex market.
Ref Wayne
While some people just dream of their plans, some strive to make them a reality, just like Ref Wayne, a South African Forex trader. Ref was born in a mid-class family in Meadowlands. He was just an ordinary kid, good at school, and helping his family in his free time. In high school, he sold SIM cards to earn a living, but he soon realized it’s not a suitable job for him.
It could be trading discipline, experience, and implementation of a good strategy, but most importantly, they think differently, and their primary concern is not just a high win rate. When it comes to Forex trading success, it’s also about the joy and accomplishment it adds to your everyday life. The important personal trait of trading professionals is doing trade with a passion. Without a passion for trading, you can’t achieve success. Although the motivation that gathers people to enter the Forex market is money, it’s not only about the money. Without an inherent passion for trading, you cannot make it as a successful trader.
George Soros
George Soros, Hon. FBA is a Hungarian-born American billionaire who has made much of his fortune trading forex and tops our list of the top investors to watch today.
Soros’ net worth had previously been estimated at $8.3 billion, but as of September 2020, this was revised to $10 billion – making him one of the world’s most prosperous forex traders. It has to be noted, though, that he is also a major philanthropist, and has donated more than $32 billion to the Open Society Foundations.
Michelle Williams
Her father, Larry Williams, was a famous trader who knows Forex rates better than anyone else in the world. He has been involved in the stock market trading since 1962 and became the world’s most profitable trader in 1979 in the futures market in New York. He reached a temporary peak in 1987 when he won the “Robbins World Trading Championships”. Participants started the year with an amount of $ 10,000. Williams succeeded in increasing his capital to over $ 1 million in 12 months. Ten years later his daughter Michelle (famous actress), who received an education from her father, was also successful in trading. She won the World Cup with around $ 100,000 in the capital.
