Sunflower oil as name suggests is from sunflower seeds. Sunflower oil is commonly used as a frying oil in food and as an emollient in cosmetic formulations. This oil is high in vitamin E; One spoon contains twenty eight percent of the recommended nutrients per person daily. It has a high smoke content and does not have a strong flavour, which means it does not overwhelm a recipe. The body needs them, but omega-6s are considered pro-inflammatory, while omega-3s are anti-inflammatory. Taking too much omega-6s without balancing it with omega 3s can lead to high inflammation in the body, so control is very important.
Groundnut oil is an edible vegetable oil that is produced from groundnut seeds. The leguminous groundnut plants are found in several tropical regions. Also known as peanut oil or Arachis oil, it is available in different forms-refined, cold-pressed and roasted- depending on how it is extracted. As raw groundnut oil is not safe for direct consumption for various health and safety reasons, it needs to be purified. Refined oils are totally purified through processes that remove toxic elements, allergens and suspended particles, flavour components, colour and odour.
