5 Top Amusement Parks from around the world – For a family vacation like no other

Amusement parks are usually family favourites when it comes to travelling around the world. A day at an amusement park is definitely a must! It is where all those precious memories are born. Here are some of the most amazing amusement parks in the world.

1

Universal Studios Japan

Located in Osaka, Japan, this is one of the best places to visit on a family holiday here. There are several resorts that are situated by the theme park. The Singulari Hotel is one of them with a roof-top pool that offers some of the most amazing views of the city. The best part about it all is that you even get free knitted pyjamas for the night! The park has many rides that are similar to the ones in Florida but there are a few unique rides that display Japanese culture as well.

2

Gröna Lund

If you'll ever be travelling to Stockholm in Sweden, then the family amusement park you should be heading to for a fun time and an authentic experience would be Gröna Lund. There are about 30 rides that will certainly give you that adrenaline rush you are after. Could you ever imagine that the park was actually opened in 1883? Enter through the gate and you will be transported to a time you never knew about. Experience what Swedish culture is all about while having your fun!

3

Tivoli Gardens

No this is not the Tivoli Gardens in Italy, but the theme gardens that served as inspiration for Walt Disney and Hans Christian Anderson. The park was founded in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1843 and is a garden, community eating spot and a theme park all in one. Come evening and the place is transformed into something absolutely mesmerising with lights everywhere. The most sought-after ride at the park is the rollercoaster that was built back in 1914 which is one of the very few rollercoasters in the world with a brakeman joining the ride.

4

Efteling

Situated in Kaatsheuvel, Netherlands, this is one of Europe's most visited amusement parks. It is twice the size of Disneyland in California and focuses on the fairytales of the past. There is something for every member of the family here with thrilling rides for older kids and a forest full of everyone's favourite characters for the little ones. When it's time for lunch, head to one of the two restaurants serving just pancakes with some delicious toppings to delight your taste buds.

5

Alton Towers

The Alton Towers theme park is situated in the premises of Alton Towers private estate in Staffordshire. There are a number of rides here and some are so thrilling and fun. One ride even requires you to lie on your stomach to be strapped so that you can fly like a superhero! How amazing is that? But one of the most fun activities of them all is Gangster Granny where passengers are loaded into a carriage to help with Granny's plans for a jewellery heist.
