Essential Vietnam Packing list – Be prepared for all possibilities when you travel!

Are you planning to travel to Vietnam next? If that's the case, you need to pack right for your tour. Rains, monsoons, and typhoons occur in Vietnam without any warnings, and you'll have to be ready for all of that too. Check this out for the best Vietnam packing list!

1

Take the right bag with you

What you need to keep in your mind is that with the right bag, comes a great trip. So, choose a backpack for your Vietnam tour. A suitcase will not be an ideal option for this tour because that will create many problems when using public transportation in Vietnam and even when travelling by motorbike. Make sure the backpack you choose is water-resistant.

2

Clothes to pack

You'll be visiting most of the Vietnam tourist hotspots during the day, so you need to pack your hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen (take an umbrella and a scarf too- for the safe side). If you do have a rain jacket, pack it too because you can't be so sure about the Vietnamese weather. In addition to all the comfy clothes (including the swimsuits, PJs, and travel pants), take a sarong (or long cloth) especially if you wish to visit the Vietnamese temples.

3

Packing toiletries

Toiletries include tissues, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush, makeup, shaving necessities, towels, and baby wipes (if you are travelling with kids). You may buy many of these items when you arrive in Vietnam, and some of these will be readily available at your chosen hotel. Pack whatever the items that you are brand specific of.

4

Packing a health kit

No matter where you are going, don't forget to take your basic health kit with you. If you get any sudden illness, Vietnam has many pharmacies, hospitals, and channelling centres to help you out, but come prepared for things you can anticipate. If you know you are allergic to a specific type of food, you may take your prescriptions and given medicine when you are travelling. Also, if you are going to explore natural attractions such as wildlife sanctuaries, forests, and nature reserves listed on sites such as Well Known Places, take a bug spray with you or any other insect repellant. Include few bandages, an antibiotic ointment, and a hand sanitiser in your first-aid kit for sure.

5

Packing the electronics

One simple tip is to pack the electronics that you essentially need, and keep the other things at home. The more electronics you take, the more worried you have to be all the time while travelling. Take your phone, headphone, charger, power bank, and camera with batteries. You may also take your laptop and the charger too if you want. It's always safer to pack all these electronics in a waterproof bag.

6

Important things to know

Keep copies of your travel insurance, passport, and other important documents in your baggage in case of an emergency. If you are taking a travel adapter with you, keep in mind that Vietnam uses the types A, C, and F.
