Optical coating is a broad
classification of physical and chemical processes that have developed
out of the need to enhance the performance of certain optical

Chitosan is a chitin derivative extracted from shells of aquatic species such as crabs, shrimps, and lobsters. Chitosan is commonly used in cosmetic and pharmaceutical formulations due to its light consistency and wide range of therapeutic applications.
Ceramic coatings are designed
to resist high temperatures, and they do so by expanding into the
vapor phase at very high temperatures. This expansion leads to the
physical changes needed to make the coating work, and it also leads
to greater resistance to abrasion, heat damage, and chemical
