Headphones or Ear Buds?

With the advancement in recent technology, listening to music in public has been made available to the masses. Not only that, many of us can now choose between the wired and smaller ear buds and the bigger but wireless headphones. Ear Buds

Ear wear are a must have accessory for regular gym goers like me as well as sports players. Their portability and light weight makes it easy for us to still be plugged in to our favorite music.

The first thing that comes to mind when I mentally place side by side an ear bud and a headphone is the wire.

The wireless headphones are simpler to use and provide greater comfort. In fact, I would readily recommend the wireless headphones. They are especially ideal for those who listen to music while working out or playing sports.

For such purposes, the wireless headphone is the ideal choice because it will allow you to move as freely as you want and you will not be tied down by wires.

Ear buds are a different kettle of fish. Using them for a long time also hurts the ear. Ideally, workout is a daily routine and plugging in the ear buds every single day will hurt your ears and will cause permanent damage. Moreover ear buds are closer to the ear drum and easily damage our hearing ability. In the case of headphones, they are wrapped around the head and so do not fall off easily when you move around.

Ear buds also do not come in a lot of shapes and sizes, and may not fit properly in most ears. As a result, when you move around, they tend to fall off easily.

With the headphones, most of them come with cushions and provide comfort to the ears even if you wear it for the whole day. Also, being further away from the ear drums as compared to the ear buds, they are less damaging.

Most headphones also come with noise cancelling properties these days. The cushion around the corners also contributes to the noise cancelling property and actually helps you enjoy your music without distraction from the noise around you.
