The Best Day-Time Activities in Sydney

The Best Day-Time Activities in Sydney

Sydney is a dynamic and exciting city filled with entertainment. The city offers activities from early in the morning to late at night. You can go for a hot air balloon ride, 5-star meals, walk across national parks, or go for a lunch cruise in Sydney.

Sydney Harbour Lunch Cruise
One of the best meals that I’d recommend till date is on board the lunch cruise in Sydney. The entire menu and food served is top notch and the best in the industry. The experience you get from the cruise goes beyond any review you will ever read. The spectacular views of the harbour bridge and the city’s icons like Opera House, Luna park, is the best scenery you can get during a meal. The panoramic views and the exquisite interiors of the vessel contributes to a much better dining experience. Every second is one to be cherished and remembered on this lunch cruise.

Hot Air Balloon Rides above Camden Valley
Enjoy a picturesque journey in a hot air balloon early in the morning. There is a certain level of serenity and calmness in watching the sunrise while on a hot air balloon. The initial reaction is to be worried of the endless possibilities but the view of Sydney’s skyline on the horizon and the Blue Mountains will leave you speechless. The sun rising in the east and giving us a plethora of colours mixing in with the shadows hitting the Razorback Ranges to the church steeples of Camden.

Take a walk with Indigenous Guides in Dharawal National Park
The 90-minute walk in Dharawal National Park with a local indigenous guide is a beautiful escape from the busy city life that we face on an everyday basis. Until recently, the public access to the bushland was restricted but now everyone can enjoy guided tours of the same. My favourite thing about this tour is the all-inclusive aspect it has. Even if you have a small child, or a physically handicapped person, you will still be able to enjoy this guided tour with the amenities they have. Beyond the stunning views, listening to the stories of Indigenous Australians from an Aboriginal Discovery Ranger and learning more about the flora and fauna of the area is a great learning experience as well.

Wendy’s secret garden
Wendy’s secret garden is not so much a secret but the story behind this beautiful space is worth giving a listen to. The garden is located at the foothill of a private home in Lavender Bay which was owned by Wendy Whiteley who lost her husband, a late Australian artist. The garden maintained by Wendy and two helpers, is a yard space where they’ve planted varieties of exotics, plants and herbs and completely landscaped the area. The main attractive feature is the natural beauty of all the flora in the area and the artworks donated by local artists which are set up to inspire all. From the garden, you also get majestic views of the harbour with the Harbour Bridge in the frame along with part of North Sydney and the CBD.

Sydney HeliTours
This tour is an exciting and fun experience for all those who love flying especially. Like you see in an action movie, you get into a compact helicopter which takes you over the Sydney CBD. The glass cabin of the helicopters allows you to have excellent views in any seat. Hovering over Darling Harbour followed by Goat Island then to the Harbour Bridge, this tour gives a new perspective to the best of the city’s icons.

Sydney has a lot to offer and this is just a few of the many. The city is filled with a variety of experiences waiting to be found. Discover Sydney in the most fun way possible!
