Jimbaran Bay is ideal for you if you don't mind spending hours and hours swimming, surfing, and playing on the sand. Learn to surf through the gentle, mellow waves first and then be prepared to face the ocean swells. Be here till the evening when the surroundings get all eventful with seafood barbeque parties on the beach.

A tour to Kuta Beach it is! Kuta Beach has many surf schools around it, and this makes it one of the ideal beaches in Bali to learn the basics of surfing. Then, there is also one of the best waterparks in Asia 'Waterborn' located in the same area. In addition to the hundreds of water slides, there's also a flow-rider and a Bungie for kids.

Water adventures in North West Bali

Head to the North West Bali if you want to escape the crowds for real and have an amazing experience. Small villages such as Balian and Medewi do attract loads of tourists but, they have all the local charm in them. They are easily accessible and provide great venues to eat, sleep, surf, and repeat! Travellers who have been to these laid-back villages say that it's more like Bali back in the 1970s (right before it became a tourist hub!)

5

Water adventure in East Bali

East Bali is known for diving and that's why there is a huge collection of dive schools here that even offer practice sessions for night diving experiences. The reefs you find here are just so amazing and divers get to meet friendly sharks (because even they've got used to tourism!), turtles, and also wrecks that are over thousands of years old.

Water adventures in Bukit

Compared with the Bali mainland, the beaches you find in Bukit are more stunning and serene. Beaches such as Padang Padang, Balangan, Uluwatu, and Pandawa are all white-sand beaches and they all provide great waves for professional surfers with advanced skills. Their waves are huge and heavy, and if you are someone who is just beginning to know surfing, you'll have to wait for small swells and stick to high tide.
