Penang Top Things to See – Find Yourself in an Adventure

Penang in Malaysia offers a plethora of delightful attractions to its visitors from near and far – it has such an extensive range of alluring attractions that you wouldn't be able to narrow down your itinerary by eliminating a few of the options.

1

Penang Hill

Set above 821 metres above George Town, Penang's capital, Penang Hill is the first colonial hill station that was developed in Malaysia. It is referred to as Bukit Bendera by the natives and one may feel a tad bit cooler on this hilltop than they would feel down in George Town. Since 1960, Penang Hill has been a protected area since it's the last remaining stretch of tropical rainforest in Penang. Nowadays, the ridge atop the hill is known as Strawberry Hill as the British have once tried to clear the area for growing strawberries.

Adventure Zone Theme Park

For some parents, keeping the kids entertained proves much more difficult than planning their holidays – and Adventure Zone Theme Park would offer the perfect solution for that! Catering towards families with kids, it offers plenty to keep the kids of all ages occupied, opening a window for many parents to simultaneously have a great time themselves. Located adjacent to PARKROYAL Penang Resort, it features more than 30 fun-filled activities. Here, you may find yourself in three zones including the kids' area, special features section, and the toddler sector. There is also free Wi-Fi available, perfect for tired parents who just want some time off for themselves in an on-site café.

Made in Penang Interactive Museum

Here you may find a contradiction to the definition of ‘museum’, which many have associated with boredom in the past (except for history buffs). Made in Penang Interactive Museum will help you shake off your inherent prejudices about the boring and outdated museum; with its artwork and creative imagery employing clever 3D techniques, it is no wonder if one feels overly excited to be here. Rescue your friend from the tangles of a hideous monster, kiss a snake, or pose with zombies – do all and more at Made in Penang Interactive Museum.

ESCAPE Theme Park

While holidaying at your Penang hotel, plan on visiting ESCAPE Theme Park to feel the constant charge of adrenaline through your veins – yes, that’s how excited you’ll feel at this place that will take you through some of the most exhilarating and thrilling moments of your life. The activities offered at this place are not for the faint of heart – from hurtling dozens of metres above ground level to free falls from a 20m platform, adrenaline junkies would be offered a ton of alluring options when they visit this adventurous theme park.

Penang Khoo Khongsi

One of Penang’s highly fascinating attractions, Khoo Khongsi is one of the most lavishly adorned “Khongsi” or “company” as per the Hokkien transcription. It was built over 650 years ago and is believed to have formed the foundation of the Hokkien community.
