5 Reasons Why You Should Visit Oman – Experience the land for what it really is

Oman might not be a place that is filled with all the luxury and glamour of an urban paradise like Dubai, but it still is a promising holiday destination worth your time. If you need a little more convincing, here's a list of reasons that are alluring enough to draw you in.

1

Natural beauty

When it comes to natural beauty, Oman does not offer the typical sceneries you would expect. Instead, what lies in this land is completely unique! Among the seas of beige sands are little oases of greenery bringing colour to the baron landscape of the endless deserts. Along with this are mountains of hard rock that once again seem to be covered with bits of greenery to illuminate it. It is something different yet something wonderful to lay your eyes upon.

2

Wonderful wadis

If you wondering what wadi means, this is an Arabic word for valley or someplace where a stream of water runs. You would d expect such bodies of water to be all dried up in the middle east, but Oman sees a significant amount of rainfall to keep them flowing. Oman is full of freshwater lagoons and caves which you can swim through and explore. Certainly, adventurous and magical at the same time.

3

Oman's beaches

Oman has a stretch of beach that is about 3000 km long and is filled with light coloured sand and clear waters. The waters of the ocean here are rich in marine life which makes it worth exploring. Enjoy a picnic in the shade of the palm trees or rush into some adrenaline pumping water sports in Oman. You'll find some of the best hotels in Oman located by the beach as well. Sifa Beach which is situated close to Muscat is a popular spot for beach camping.

4

Heritage of the land

This is an ancient land where trade most likely began on a large scale. Known as the Land of Frankincense, this is one of 6 UNESCO approved World Heritage Sites in the country. It is the most visited place by culture buffs where remnants of the past have been carefully preserved and kept inside the Museum of Frankincense Land. There are several other historic places to explore and delight in as the local people truly do cherish their history.

5

Delicious food and luscious resorts

If you are a foodie, then you are in for a grand treat! Omani food is brought together with various Arabian spices and herbs that combine to bring out a unique flavour. Also, don't forget to try the Arabian street food like shawarma which can be found at cafes and hotels. Speaking of hotels, Oman has some of the most luxurious resorts such as Al Falaj Hotel. Furthermore, the resorts offer different experiences from desert camps to beachside locations and city hotels. The Omani hospitality is unrivalled with friendly locals every ready to help you out whenever you need them. Don't miss out on your chance to experience wonders!
