Visiting Qatar – is it allowed now?

To all Qatari nationals, families, PR holders, and Qatar ID (QID) holders, Qatar is now open post COVID-19. But there's a quarantine policy applicable for those who arrive in the country. Although Qatari nationals can freely roam in and out of the country, the QID holders will have to take approval from authorities before arrival.

Quarantine rules – is it equal to all?

Home quarantine is fine with people who come to Qatar from low-risk countries. But others may need to register with official quarantine centres upon arrival. However, for those who are aged above 55, those who have heart diseases and pregnant ladies are granted exceptions here (regardless of the country they come from) and are allowed to quarantine at their homes.

Places that are open to the public

Even the shops and the restaurants are open to the public, but they operate with limited capacities. Social distancing measures and other safety measures are strictly in place.
