Produced by the Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL), the cargo ship OOCL Hong Kong was launched on the 31st of December 2016. At the time, it was hailed as the largest container ship in existence. OOCL Hong Kong was the first ship to ever have reached the 21,000 TEU mark. It was also the name ship (the first of the series) of six other class G ships. Built at the Samsung Heavy Industries in Geoje, South Korea, this ship has a capacity of 21,413 TEU. It measures up to a length of 399.87 metres
Constructed by the Samsung Heavy Industries, Geoje shipyard, it has a carrying capacity of 21,413 TEU. With a length of 399.87 metres, breadth of 58.8 metres and a depth of 32.5 metres, it is the largest container ship ever built. It serves along the trade lane from Northern Europe to East Asia.
