Interesting things to do in Toronto – Keep everyone entertained

Days spent in Toronto are going to be fun and interesting for so many reasons. Adventures, culinary experiences, shopping moments, and historical exhibits will all make your Toronto diaries colourful. If the weather is right, you'll be able to say yes to most of the experiences listed below.

1

Visit the Toronto Islands

This is for you if you require a real break from chaotic everyday life. Take a ferry ride to the Toronto Islands for an amazing experience. The three islands Algonquin, Ward's, and Centre are all inter-connected and during your day or the half-day spent there, you'll be able to explore all these three. In addition to the picnic spots, beaches, and leisure parks, you also find great amusement parks on the main islands.

2

Visit St. Lawrence Market

This is one of the oldest markets in the country built in the 17th century. The market has three buildings namely the South Market, the North Market, and St. Lawrence Hall. While St. Lawrence Hall has retail businesses of diverse sorts, the North Market is reserved for farmers' products. The South Market is occupied by over 100 vendors that sell a mix of goods, and sometimes it also features cooking lessons for the guests.

3

Visit the Kensington Market.

The market is believed to have originated from the 1920s as the newly settled families did set up small stands to sell whatever the goods they produce. It slowly was converted to a marketplace, and today, it's a market that spans across streets with shops and restaurants of all flavours. Expect to experience a lot of chaos, but this market is surely worth a visit.

4

Visit the Toronto Zoo

If you are on a family tour to Toronto, here's a must-visit attraction with your little ones. The zoo spans across a massive land area of 700 acres and more than 5000 different animals call this zoo their home. The entire zoo is divided into 7 geographical locations and one of the most exciting to visit among the seven is the North American section (Gorilla Rainforest) in which the indoor Gorilla exhibit can be found. To entertain the kids, the zoo also has a theatre, water play area, and many other special segments.

5

Visit the Ontario Science Centre

This is a completely different exploration. Education means nothing if proper observation and experimental opportunities are created. The purpose of the Ontario Science Centre is also the same. It provides education through observation and exploration. There's so much to do such as piloting a rocket chair, exploring how the energy spent on a dance floor gets converted into light power, and many more. You may also get the chance to watch educational movies with your kids.
