"The Doctor with an Eye for Eyes" by Julia Finley Mosca is about a doctor named Patricia Bath. This story takes place during the Civil Rights Movement and because of that, the reader watches Dr. Bath face obstacles such as racism, sexism, and poverty head on while working on her goal to become a doctor. This story challenges many stereotypes. Therefore, when I read this to my future students it will empower them to work hard and achieve their dreams just like Dr. Bath.

The Unified movement is something that I took part in at my high school and I want to bring it to future schools that I work at. Unified sports are school sport teams that anyone can be on no matter who they are. This is important for teachers around the world to know because it makes disabled students feel included and abled students love getting involved. My high school had unified basketball, volleyball, and cheerleading. My friend and I decided to take it one step further and start unified theater! Unified is such a positive activity for students to learn to include.
