I like to say that the makeup world has become a bit like the technology world, impossible to keep up with but always so much fun to try! Ha! But in all honesty; makeup has become front and center in the past couple of years and is really just about everywhere, especially in the social media world right? And the more that I’ve looked into; most people assume that “expensive” makeup is always going to be the JAM and that’s not always true! It is also not true that “cheap” or “ affordable” makeup lines aren’t too good either. Not exactly sure why us human’s think like this; as if the value of something were the same as the set retail price.

I had SO much fun making this tutorial! This is a pretty simple soft glowly glam using color yiiii! Perfect for PROM which is right around the corner! Hope you all enjoy it! if you DO show me some love by liking this video and commenting below !

It’s been quite sometime since I’ve work with Stephanie! I met her 4-5 years ago while I was working makeup full time at Suelta la Sopa! Her energy has always been so fun, positive and uplifting! Although I’ve done her glam a few times before; this would be the first time we work a carpet together so I was pretty excited!

Carpet glam is a whole different ball park of fun! I love it! It’s hard to explain what I feel but I’ll try ha! It’s definitely a different kind of fun!

The pressure really is on (at least for me it is) kind of fun. I take a few days prior to prep my kit with the goodies I may need. It’s also very signature of me to go & purchase new last minute fun goodies (a good way for me to see what new arrivals on trends & etc).

For the rehearsal look, we decided to go for a pretty pink glittery shadow glam with lots of glaze to the skin, with a soft matte nude lippie and …. YES we’re still are rocking lippie; masked and all!

On Ally’s Glittery Shadow; I tried a new glitter product I hadn’t used in the past and I really liked them!

** For the love of botox! **

I started getting #Botox done at the age of 22 (currently 35). _Literally _… it was the day after my 22nd bday; I remember because we were celebrating my bday in Mini 3 day cruise & my forehead was SO snatched lol!

Now the most common question every time someone hears that I started getting Botox at the age of 22 … “Why? You were so young?!” Why? To be completely honest, I had read in Cosmo at the time 2007 (which essentially at the time was like my Bible) Botox had already been proven to be a great preventative treatment for wrinkles. So at the age of 22 it really didn’t change my “facial expression” nor did I actually have deep wrinkles at that time so I used it to prevent the wrinkles!

At 22 years old; so, I’m guessing? … It’s pretty clear to say that I didn’t want deep wrinkles as I aged/got older. So why not actually prevent them with Botox a semi-permanent option vs a topical cream that “may” work.

I had so much fun creating another look using the James Charles x Morphe Palette !
What can I say? I love blue shadows too lol!
This look was It’s flirty, colorful, lashy, glittery and did I say fun ?
Originally I was inspired by “Bratz” the dolls. I had a follower on TikTok say I looked like a “Bratz” Doll haha (LOVE) & figured “Why not?!?”

Bratzdoll have pretty defined eyes usually very cut creased and of course their signature plump lips. When I was in my 20’s cut creasing was a bit easier; and of course with age, my eyes have changed a bit in size. But hey NO BIGGIE! A tight ponytail can really make all the difference! Not only does it give me a mini-lift, it really helped out with my eye lids too. Making this glam alot easier to achieve.

So excited to share that I was able to get my hands on the restock of the “ColourPop” x Sailor Moon “Pretty Guardian” eyeshadow palette! I tried the first round a few ago and wasn’t so lucky; it sold out so fast! So once I got the email from #ColourPop that this collab was restocked? Duhh! Had to get it! Yesss i too am another “Sailor Moon” fan!

Sailor Moon def played a huge deal in my adolescence! Probably because I was quite the shy little girl! How could you not look to Sailor Moon and the gang? These were a team of girls that weren’t perfect but had the courage to face their fears, stand up to injustice especially towards women, different in all their styles, from shy, sweet, studious, sporty, romantic, etc; didn’t ever give up on a battle & had great team work!

There’s been some hate on their outfits, pero for me feminist and all I don’t think it was “wrong” I think as society were always try to find something wrong… why can’t they be chuch and still kick ass? I mean many of us use makeup as our “outfits” or our way to kick ass? Why not an outfit?

Talking about makeup as an outfit…let’s get back to the palette!
