In Zambia, you may spot the kings of the jungle – lions at the Kafue National Park. Hippos (Hippopotamuses) are mostly spending their time along the rivers in Zambia. It's always good to have a guided tour to see these creatures because sometimes their attacks are powerful. If you get a signal by them that they are approaching (they normally snort loudly), move away as soon as possible because you never know how strong they can be when charging.
Leopards are a similar species to tigers that are smart at hunting. They are particularly known for their solo hunting skills. If you plan to enjoy a night safari, you may surely spot at least a few of the leopards. But make sure you stay alert throughout the safari because these creatures sneak away as soon as they see the vehicle lights.
Although South Africa itself declared that white rhinos were slowly getting extinct mainly due to poaching, Zambia now has them- thanks to the relocation initiatives taken by the Zambia Wildlife Authority back in 2010. Now, in Zambia, you get the rare privilege of seeing a herd of about 10 white rhinos around Victoria Falls. Keep your cameras ready, because these are the largest species of rhinoceros in the world.
