To spots to Shop in Orchard Street

Orchard Road is a shopaholic's greatest dream. A complete street of nothing but shopping malls? What a dream! It is part of Singapore that everyone must visit regardless of whether you are visiting to do some shopping or just to explore. Here are the top shopping spots for you!

1

ION Orchard

An architectural masterpiece as well as a gigantic shopping mall, ION Orchard is located a short distance from Pan Pacific Serviced Suites Orchard, Singapore and looks like it came from the future. There are eight stories within ION Orchard and they not only have boutiques and high-end fashion stores, but they also have a butler and concierge on call as well as luxury couture, cloud viewing and art exhibitions. It is not just a mall it is a complete fashion experience. And one that should not be missed for the world.

2

Orchard Central

Orchard Central is located at 181 Orchard Road and opens and closes at 11. It is a high-rise and towers above all the other shopping malls on Orchard Road. There are 6 super escalators which you can ride in order to explore the cavernous mall. If you hand over your passport at the concierge desk you will become eligible for 25% off on select brands across the store as well as other discount cards that are only available for holidaymakers in Singapore.

3

Ngee Ann City

Takashimaya or Ngee Ann City is easy to spot as it looks like a large crimson frog. It is also considered a landmark on Orchard Road and many residents in a nearby Singapore serviced apartment will come here looking for great dining options and designer goods. Not only is it great for shopping, but Takashimaya is also part of the Civic Plaza which can host up to 3,000 people for concerts, carnivals and regular fashion shows. It opens at 10 am and closes at 9.30 pm.

4

Tangs

The oldest department store on Orchard Road is the historic Tangs. It is said to have first been established in 1932. The interior mirrors this history with distinctly Chinese décor. Tangs is a great place for tourists to go if they want to buy souvenirs in the form of Asian lifestyle products. There are lots of collectables for sale as well as tropical fashion, casual clothes and plenty of cotton outfits that are perfect for Singapore's humid weather. Tangs is open from Monday to Saturday from 10.30 am to 9.30 pm.

5

Far East Plaza

Far East Plaza is also an older department store on Orchard Road similar to Tangs. This is where all the young people go to hang out. It is also where you can find great bargains that are one-off. There are 800 retail stores inside the department store so if you are actually going to browse probably it will take some time. But you will be able to discover cool pieces by unknown designers who might someday make it big.
