The Five Weird First Dates

Not every guy can take a hint. Sometimes, cluelessness can seem more like a threat than a misunderstanding, though. A woman was out on a date with a guy she met on this site. The two hit it off and had a great time. He offered to walk her home and she accepted. This sounds like the end of a great date, but then things went off the rails! The guy kept telling her that she looked “sexy” and then kept trying to kiss her despite her disinterest. All that didn’t persuade him to stop asking to come in and see her apartment by the time he got her home. Needless to say, she went inside and hid with her roommate while the latter made fun of him for being such a clueless jerk. Read the signs, gentlemen and know when the woman doesn’t want to be bothered.

One of the most uncomfortable things to happen when you’re on a date is silence. You want to know that the other person is interested in you and you need two people to carry a conversation. However, one date started off in silence that got so bad that the woman told her date that she was going to leave. He only nodded to her questions and let out a chuckle once or twice before she said that it would be better if she just left and called it a night. He begged her to stay and then continued to sit in silence and only occasionally speak to her when asked direct questions. It turns out that he was very shy and he managed to get a second date. Still, You can’t make people work that hard for some affection or they’re definitely going to run out the door on you!

Sometimes, people will go out of their way to impress their dates. Unfortunately, it almost killed this guy. The two went out to a bar and started to order their drinks and enjoy them. The man ordered two strawberry daiquiris, a drink that is known for being incredibly sweet and filled with syrups. However, the only problem was that this man was diabetic. All that sugar was a shock to his system, and they had to call an ambulance. His partner was left in a bad situation because she had to try to answer questions for the EMS that came despite only knowing the guy for a few hours! Hopefully, this guy decides that it’s a good idea to come clean about his medical situation before he has a date with someone!

This date is one for the books. A man asks out a woman and she agrees to the date. It seems like everything is on the up and up. However, the guy makes the mistake of telling her that he likes “Indie” music. You know, the small music labels or unsigned artists that are trying to make a name for themselves. That’s not the way that she interpreted it, though. When he showed up to take her out, she excitedly directed him to a movie theater where it was “Bollywood Night”. Unfortunately, she thought that Indie had something to do with India, and a comedy of errors ensued. Needless to say, that was it for that romance. We have to draw a line somewhere, gentlemen.

Men are told to be chivalrous on their dates. So, when they ask someone out, they’re supposed to be the person reaching for their wallet at the end of the night. Yet, one man found out, to his horror, that he was missing his wallet after they had eaten. He had to call his friend to come and pick up the bill for him so that he wouldn’t have the police called on him!
