Top 6 attractions to visit in Moranbah – It’s a young city filled with joy!

A new and young town in Queensland- Moranbah has everything in it for everyone. With a state high school, a hospital, allied health services, good accommodation choices and the following attractions this new city has been able to match their standards with other sophisticated cities.

1

Bridled-Nailtail Wallaby Statue

During your stay at one of the Moranbah service apartments the likes of Oaks Moranbah Suites, head to the Town Square Park that's located very close by. You will then see the famous wallaby Statue here done by the sculptor Adriaan Vanderlugt. If you are still wondering who this wallaby is, that's a creature endemic to Australia which looks so like a kangaroo. These creatures were once thought to have extinct from the country, but with rediscovering them in 1973, extensive breeding programs were carried out by the Queensland Parks to preserve this valuable treasure.

2

Musical chairs, tables, and railways

Not an attraction, but these are some attractive elements you find when you are spending your time in Town Square. So, this is worth enjoying! All these belong to a public art project done by the Queensland Arts Council together with the Queensland Music Festival, and you may use them as you wish while you enjoy your moments. Click pictures and reveal the world how great Moranbah is, in case they haven't heard of this new city yet!

'Australia Remembers' – the mural

Paying tribute to all men and women who served in WWII, this mural was established in 1995 in Moranbah.
