For each of us, graduation in Utah brings in different rewards. Not only with grades and future possibilities, but also our gifts. Compiled here is a list of some of the best and worst gifts you can receive. For those of you giving gifts, this might help. Hopefully some of you can relate. If not, maybe you can look forward to graduation just a little more, then again, maybe not.
Most of us dream of this gift, and for many it becomes a reality. To the lucky ones, we congratulate you. We wish we were in your shoes. The car is the standard gift that says ‘well-done son, you have done us proud’. It also says, ‘we now trust you, a lot’. This is a big deal. So are cars.
To most girls, this is a pretty standard gift, but it brings a lot of love and meaning with it. Being a guy, I can’t relate too well, but I know that to many girls, it is a treasured gift. Try and make it specific to the one receiving it. Different jewelry can be used for different things, so pick wisely.
I am speaking from personal experience here. That’s right, I got a book for my graduation. I have to say, as much as I loved that book for the thought behind it, I did feel a little hard done by. So if you’re giving a gift this graduation, maybe try a little harder than a book.
This gift unfortunately says one thing. I am seriously uncreative. Maybe if the gift card is directly pertinent to the one receiving it, it may be okay. Gift cards are never used for anything good, because normally there’s not enough money on them to get anything worthwhile. Remember one thing, don’t ever, ever, just give a Wal Mart gift card.
Whatever you do, don’t forget that a gift is important. School is hard, extremely hard. Of course we don’t go to school to get a gift at the end, but oh how it helps you feel like it was worth it.
