THE STORY OF THE MERMAID SAPPHIRE

From ancient deities to one of the most iconic corporate coffee logos, mermaids have long held the fascination of generations since their first perceptible mention in Assyria around the 1000 BC. Creatures of indubitable beauty, mermaids have been the centre of aquatic lore, particularly sea-faring people. Their half human, half fish disposition, mythically makes them the aquatic equivalent of humans. Thus perhaps we were destined to fall in love with the mermaid sapphires.
