These great holiday recipes are great for a large group or a couple. They are all plant-based / vegan recipes that do not contain any animal products.

Healthy oil free vegan dinner roll recipe (aka bun or bread roll recipe) * Plant Based Recipes: Easy Oil Free Vegan R...

The dinner roll, also called a bun or bread roll (or a whole bunch of possible names in the UK), is often an essential at holiday meals or family gatherings. A small somewhat crusty roll that you can eat with a spread, or to mop up meal remnants on your plate.

Vegan Pepper Gravy (Oil free, Fat free, low sodium) * Plant Based Recipes: Easy Oil Free Vegan Recipes

Making a healthy gravy is so easy, and (to me) tastes almost exactly the same as the kinds that are loaded with grease and oil. Gravy is all about the spices, flavor and texture anyway. And you can make a gravy that has all of these things without loading it down with salt or fat. So why use them? It also makes this gravy incredibly quick, easy, and inexpensive to make as well. You don’t need any unhealthy additives, no browning, just flour, spices, and broth.

Easy zesty cranberry sauce (Vegan) * Plant Based Recipes: Easy Oil Free Vegan Recipes

This simple recipe is excellent for the holidays, or to accompany any roasted vegetables or add a tangy punch to your next buddah bowl. Many cranberry recipes include honey, but this one swaps out maple syrup. You don’t need any pectin for this recipe, as the cranberries add all the thickener you need. I am adding a bit of zest to add some extra punch to this condiment.

Spicy Cranberry Mushroom Bok Choy Stir Fry (Low Fat, Vegan, Oil Free) * Plant Based Recipes: Easy Oil Free Vegan Recipes

This recipe is a great one for your leftover cranberries that might be in the fridge or freezer after the holidays (it also makes a fantastic holiday side dish if it’s the season!). I purchased way too many bags of cranberries, and have been left with more than I care to admit on hand. So looking for a way to use them up, I thought I’d try making a stir fry with some and it worked out perfectly. It’s colorful, and tangy! The first time I tried this it was too tart and tangy, but with a bit of maple syrup (or stevia), you can balance it out to deliciousness.

Chocolate covered creamy peanut butter balls (Low fat, no oil, vegan) * Plant Based Recipes: Easy Oil Free Vegan Recipes

This delicious treat is perfect to take to a holiday party, family gathering, or whenever you want to impress your non-vegan or health-conscious friends with a surprisingly healthy dessert. Well, it’s not perfectly healthy but it’s pretty tame as far as desserts tend to go. These creamy peanut butter balls do not contain much fat or sugar, and no oil at all. In fact, they are also quite inexpensive to make because the main ingredient is… beans.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes recipe (Vegan, Salt free, Oil Free) * Plant Based Recipes: Easy Oil Free Vegan Recipes

One of my all-time favorite things to make is the simple mashed potato. Maybe it’s texture, or part nostalgia, it’s truly one of my favorite foods. I used to make mashed potatoes so unhealthy by adding butter, cream, and all sorts of other things (bacon bits, you name it). But the crazy thing is that a healthy mashed potato tastes just as good if you get the right gravy (such as our pepper gravy here) or some other topping you love. And they also can stand along on their own merit without a topping, too. This is an SOS Free recipe (salt, oil, and sugar free).

Maple Balsamic Brussels Sprouts and Potatoes from The Fitchen

This maple balsamic brussels sprouts and potatoes recipe is oven roasted side dish perfection. The brussels and potatoes are tossed in a mixture of maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, stoneground mustard, and olive oil.

Creamy Mushroom Polenta Recipe - Love and Lemons

Creamy mushroom polenta is comfort food at its best! Zingy chimichurri gives a fresh, bright finish to this hearty, nourishing dish.
