How does Botox® work?
Botox® is a highly purified protein which works by injecting it into the facial muscles, creating a barrier between nerves and muscles to temporarily paralyze the muscles. This lack of muscle activity reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

What does Botox® do?
Botox® is designed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles through temporary muscle paralysis; however, it is also beneficial for treating muscular problems and excessive sweating.

When does Botox® start working?
Botox® usually starts working 1-2 days after treatment, although it can vary from patient to patient. It can sometimes take up to two weeks for Botox® to take full effect.

How long does swelling last after lip fillers?
Most swelling after lip fillers usually goes down after a few hours of the treatment, and up to 24 hours at a maximum. However, the swelling can take up to three to five days to fully settle down.

What does a chemical peel do?
A chemical peel is a solution applied to the skin to improve its appearance and texture by removing a layer of dead skin cells to promote growth of a new, healthier layer of skin.

What can cause excessive sweating?
Excessive sweating, also known as hyperhidrosis, is caused when nerves controlling your sweat glands are triggered too often and become overactive. Primary hyperhidrosis is normally hereditary and is not related to any other medical condition. Secondary hyperhidrosis occurs as a side effect of a medical condition, such as diabetic hypoglycaemia, an overactive thyroid or menopause.

Do chemical peels help acne?
Chemical peels help reduce the appearance of acne due to its anti-inflammatory properties. Chemical peels improve the skin’s texture, reduce acne scarring and minimise blemishes.
