Vic Wadhwa’s Favorite Places in Maryland

Maryland’s name often doesn’t pop up when people think of planning a vacation in the USA, I thought it’s about time that Vic Wadhwa should talk about the place. In this list, I will list out my favorite places to visit in Maryland so that you can add a couple of them to your bucket list:

Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge

The Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge covers over 26000 acres of ponds and forests. This park is situated in Cambridge, Maryland, and is home to a variety of migratory birds. For birdwatchers like me, Blackwater is almost heaven. If you love wildlife and greenery, then, Vic Wadhwa highly recommends this travel hotspot in Maryland.

Baltimore Museum of Art

Baltimore Museum of Art

I highly recommend visiting the Baltimore Museum of Art. This Museum includes 95,000 works by artists like Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Marc Chagall, and Henri Matisse. Vic Wadhwa especially loves the collection of contemporary art.

If you are into railroads and want to explore its vast history, then, I highly recommend visiting the Ohio Railroad Museum. This Museum depicts one of the most important parts of America’s history.

Ocean City is an Atlantic resort town in Worcester country, Maryland. Home to one of the most popular beaches in America, Vic Vadhwa found Ocean City as a happening place where free concerts and evening activities will keep you entertained at all times.

I had to add National Aquarium to my Maryland travel list! Situated in Pier 3 and 4, Inner Harbor, Baltimore, this aquarium is home to marine life from all over the world.

For families with young children, National Aquarium can be an amazing getaway since it hosts fascinating creatures like sharks and dolphins.

Assateague State Park

Assateague State Park

You will have to visit Worcester Country to explore Assateague State Park. Located in Assateague Island, it is famous for surfing and swimming in the summers. The state park is famous for horses but it has a wide range of wildlife.

Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum

Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum

Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is situated at 213 North Talbot Street, St. Michaels, Maryland. This museum is the former home of Eliza Bailey Mitchell, sister of abolitionist Frederick Douglass.

Vic Wadhwa loves it for the Easton Waterfowl Festival as it is the country’s premier wildlife art show.
