The capital of the Philippines, Manila not only offers plenty of things to see and do but capture for unforgettable Insta posts too! If you are looking for backdrops which are bound to be favs and get you lots of likes as well, don't miss these locations.

1

Manila Baywalk

There's nothing like heading to the beach to get some great pictures for Instagram with the ocean as the backdrop. That is exactly what you can do at the Baywalk which is a two-kilometre long coastal promenade looking out across Manila Bay. One of the best times to visit is in the evenings when you will be rewarded with some spectacular sunsets too. As day turns to dusk and night descends, you can also consider taking a cruise from here and enjoy a whole new perspective.

2

Street Art of BGC

BGC or Bonifacio Global City is a commercial area in Taguig which is not only known for its shopping, dining and nightlife but captivating street art and murals too. Be you staying at a hotel or furnished apartment Manila has to offer, plan a visit here and take in these amazing artistic creations; highlights include Pangako by Anjo Bolarda, Mother Nature: Four Seasons by Dee Jae Paeste and Between the Lines by CYRCLE. Do remember though, as much as these artworks make for awesome Insta pictures, make sure to look up from your phone and take time to appreciate them as well.

3

Rizal Park

One of the most popular things to do in Manila for locals is to enjoy some relaxation at Rizal Park, located within easy reach of properties such as Citadines Bay City Manila. This idyllic site which is named after José Rizal, a national hero, encompasses an area of around 60 hectares and offers plenty of lovely spots for your Insta pictures. Look to visit early morning or in the evening for better lighting and explore the area to find your favourite backdrops be it ornamental gardens, dancing fountains or lush open lawns.

4

Fort Santiago

In Manila, attractions such as Fort Santiago not only offer some great photographic opportunities but provide key historical and cultural insights as well. The striking stone exterior of this 16th-century citadel features Italian-Spanish style architecture and design and one will find fascinating memorabilia, spots for picnics, old cannons and more. Amongst the other highlights here worth capturing and learning about are the bronze footsteps you will come across embedded into the ground; these commemorate the last walk of José Rizal to the firing squad from his cell. The fort is part of the famed Intramuros walled area which itself has plenty of Instagrammable spots.
